how can a psychologist or coach help me?

what happens in the first session?

The first session together is an opportunity for me to learn about you, your background, and what has brought you to counselling or coaching. We discuss what you hope to gain during our time together and your expectations of therapy. Additionally, we review informed consent, confidentiality, fees, the appointment cancellation policy, and scheduling.

Our initial session is also a time where you can ask me questions and get a sense of how I work and how we connect. For me, one of the most important aspects to therapy and coaching is that you are comfortable talking to me - we all connect with different people and I will do my best to put you at ease during the session!

what is your cancellation policy?

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please notify my office 24 hours before on the business day before your scheduled appointment time to allow me to offer that space to others. All cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full appointment fee. Please note that many insurance companies do not cover the cost of a missed session.
