About Julia

I am passionate about helping clients overcome challenges and achieve their personal and professional goals. I am a non-judgmental, transformational coach and therapist who provides assistance with a variety of issues, including career transition, leadership development, burnout, anxiety and stress management, and interpersonal relationships. I have a particular interest in working with clients on developing resiliency and self-compassion through work and life transitions.

I specialize in leadership, resiliency, burnout, inclusion, and allyship and focus on the development of leaders to build a better future during local and global uncertainty. As a certified executive coach and registered psychologist, I have over a decade of experience working with individuals and organizations across a multitude of industries, with a focus on diversity, including finance, legal, medicine, social enterprise, and education.

In my coaching and counselling practice, I now combine my knowledge of the corporate world with my expertise in psychology to help clients create meaningful lives for themselves. Drawing on my experience in psychology and business, I build programs incorporating coaching, consulting and facilitation to help clients thrive in today’s challenging world of work and life.

Professional Experience

I am a Certified Executive Coach and Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (#2325). I obtained my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature and Psychology from the University of British Columbia and received my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, with additional training in Multicultural Counselling, Family Therapy, and Conflict Resolution. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. I have over a decade of experience working in a variety of environments including workplace mediation and change management, corporate training and consulting, career and vocational coaching, conflict resolution, university counselling services, crisis counselling, psycho-educational and career exploration workshop facilitation, and psychometric assessment administration and interpretation. I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor and facilitate workshops in mindfulness and meditation as well as have taught yoga classes for anxiety and depression.

In addition to my coaching and psychological experience, I have been a speaker and workshop facilitator on topics related to leadership, resiliency, workplace culture and mindfulness at the Canadian Psychological Association annual conference, the Canadian Bar Association of Nova Scotia, and for 21inc and Venture for Canada leadership programs. I was also selected as one of the Top 50 Leaders in Atlantic Canada for the 2015 21inc Leadership Summit. Additionally, I was invited to work with Immigrant Services of Nova Scotia as a psychologist specializing in providing services to newly landed immigrants and refugees.
